Image Comics is set to expand its creator-owned catalogue with The Territory, a new five-issue dystopian comic series written by Joe Pruett and illustrated by Philippe Xavier. The series is scheduled to debut on January 6, 2027.
Set sixteen years after the collapse of civilization, the story follows a man and a mysterious young girl as they navigate a dangerous world where survival is governed by strength. With humanity struggling to rebuild itself, their journey becomes a fight for survival, hope and redemption.
A Story Set in a Post-Apocalyptic World
According to Image Comics, The Territory combines action and adventure with themes of family, revenge and survival. The devastated landscape serves as the backdrop for a story about two characters whose paths become intertwined in a world where trust can be difficult to find.
The series aims to explore what remains of humanity after civilization falls apart, while keeping its focus on the dangers and choices faced by its central characters.

An Experienced Creative Team
Joe Pruett, an Eisner Award-winning writer, is handling the script. His previous projects include Viking Moon, Kilroy Is Here and Cable.
Artist Philippe Xavier, known for works including Tango, Conquistador and The Serpent and the Coyote, is responsible for the artwork. The series will also feature variant covers by Brandon Peterson, Joe Benitez and Stevan Subic.
Release Date
